What do I need to get an Aircraft Engineer’s Licence?

Despite the perception in industry, the answer is quite straight forward. The specific requirements vary based on the category of licence sought, but in all cases, there are only three aspects with which you need to comply. Specifically:

  • Pass the appropriate CASR Part 66 Modular examinations (Reference: Part 66 MOS, Table on Page 27)
  • Achieve competency in the relevant Units of Competency (Reference: Part 66 MOS, Appendix IV, Pages 105 to 112)
  • Satisfy the experience requirements (Reference: Part 66 MOS, Pages 16 to 17)
