I have been an ‘Independent Inspector’ in the RAAF and releasing aircraft for 20 years. I have many MEA units and courses documented in my RTE. Why can’t I simply convert my MAML to a CASA licence? What am I missing?

Quite simply, you don’t satisfy what is required for licencing under CASA. The MEA units which you have attained and experience requirements can be transferred via an RPL process, but you will have to sit the CASA modular exams relevant to your category.
