NOT CASA. Although CASA will dictate which Units of Competency (“MEAs”) are required for licence categories or exclusion removals, they do not mandate how assessment should be carried out for these units. This is an easy trap into which to fall, and indeed, one into which training organisations routinely do fall.

ASQA is responsible for setting the standards and rules regarding Units of Competency assessment (Reference: Standards for RTOs (2015), Pages 16-17).
