No. Under DASA, you would have completed UOCs (“MEAs”), necessary for the submission of your Form 19 for your MAML.
Yes, your training and defence experience will be recognised under both the CASA and DASA licencing system. However, the CASA Part 147 AMCGM will only allow that training and experience to be credited towards ‘competencies’ during RPL towards a civillian licence. This means any Part 147 MTO is bound by regulations and can only apply RPL towards MEA units.
You will still have to complete the CASA Part 66 modular examinations associated to the licence category you are seeking (prescribed in the Part 66 MOS).
It is important to remember that at any time you can choose to study and sit Part 66 Module examinations while in Defence. These Module results, however, will expire after 10 years if not used to gain a civilian licence outcome.
